Splendora Countryside United Methodist began when in
February of 1980, Mrs. Flora Bowie, a founding member,
contacted the regional offices of The United Methodist
Church to inquire of planting a United Methodist Church in
Splendora. After eight months of prayer and planning,
Splendora Countryside United Methodist began holding
services at our current location in October of 1980. With
God, all things are possible!

Splendora Countryside provides a Christ-centered experience
that is based on our belief in God, the teachings of Jesus
Christ, and the Holy Scripture found in both the Old and New
Testaments, which is both inspired and empowered by the
Holy Spirit. We believe and support strong family values and
we are a friendly, caring and inclusive church that is growing
in Christ as we seek to be in mission to our community and the
whole world.
